Classification Table

SG Double Leaf — EN 13501-2 Classifications

Source: ETA-22/0324 (revised May 2024, OiB Vienna, Notified Body 1322). Double-leaf sliding gates are available in EI 60 and EI 90 configurations, tested to both EI1 and EI2 integrity criteria — for large-span openings where a single leaf is impractical.

Product Configuration Fire Classification Smoke Classification
SG 60-2 Double leaf · EI1 EI1 60 Sa4 / S200
SG 60-2 Double leaf · EI2 EI2 60 Sa4 / S200
SG 90-2 Double leaf · EI1 EI1 90 Sa / S200
SG 90-2 Double leaf · EI2 · Flagship EI2 90 Sa / S200

Smoke classification is Sa4/S200 at EI 60 and Sa/S200 at EI 90 — the 90-minute test series is classified to Sa rather than Sa4. EI1 measures integrity only; EI2 adds a tighter temperature-rise criterion on the unexposed face.

Technical Specifications

Gate parameters.

SG double-leaf gates are configured to project opening. The parameters below define the certified envelope — confirm dimensions, drive, and wicket configuration per schedule.

Option

Integrated Wicket Door

Pedestrian access without opening the full gate. Retains the EI classification when the gate is closed. Specified per project with matching ironmongery and closer.

Maximum opening (double leaf)
Up to 12000 × 5000 mm — indicative, confirm per project
Leaf construction
Reinforced double-skinned galvanised steel, mineral-wool core, internal steel bracing
Track system
Top-guided overhead track with floor guide channel · cantilever option on request
Drive
Manual operation standard · electric motorised drive optional with key switch / access control
Wicket door
Integrated pedestrian wicket available · retains EI classification when main gate closed
Frame
Reinforced galvanised steel profile · anchored to structural substrate sized for gate mass
Guide rollers
Heavy-duty steel rollers on hardened track · serviceable without removing the leaf
Lock
Gate-edge latch with slam plate · multipoint / access-control integration on request
Acoustic (Rw)
Up to 36 dB, dependent on configuration
Finish
Powder coat, full RAL palette · Corrosion class C3 (C5 optional for industrial environments)
Installation

Track, leaf, and commissioning.

Sliding gates carry significantly greater leaf mass than hinged doorsets. Headroom for the overhead track, stacking space for the retracted leaf, and substrate capacity at the fixing points are sized per project against the ETA field of application.

Supported substrates: reinforced concrete, structural steel, and engineered masonry. Lifting plant is typically required. Intumescent and smoke-control seals on the leaf edge and guide channel are factory-fitted and must not be removed or painted over.

  • 01

    Verify opening and headroom

Check structural opening, headroom for the overhead track, and stacking space for the retracted leaf against the installation schedule.

  • 02

    Track and guide install

Fix overhead track level and straight. Set floor guide channel along the run. Anchor centres and embedment per the installation manual and gate mass.

  • 03

    Hang the leaf

Lift leaf onto track, align to floor guide, set closing speed and end stops. Verify intumescent edge seal engagement with the jamb.

  • 04

    Commission and record

Test closing force, smoke-seal engagement, and (if fitted) motorised drive and wicket door. Record DoP reference and installer sign-off for the project file.

CE Certification

DFM SG sliding gates are CE marked for internal fire-compartmentation applications under ETA-22/0324, issued by OiB Vienna (Notified Body 1322).
