EI2 120 is available on single and double leaf as standard catalogue — not a bespoke configuration. Smoke classification Sa4/S200 applies across the range with the exception of DS 90, which is classified Sa/S200.

Gap-fill and frame guidance.
Installation is part of the classification. A DS doorset is only fire rated when installed within the conditions set out in the ETA. Full installation manuals, field-of-application rules, and gap-fill details are provided per doorset on delivery.
Supported substrates: masonry, concrete, steel stud partitions, and timber stud partitions — subject to the field of application noted in ETA-22/0324. Intumescent and smoke-control seals are factory-fitted and must not be removed or painted over.

Verify the opening
Check structural opening against the dimensions and substrate noted on the order acknowledgement and ETA field of application.

Frame fixing
Fix frame with approved anchors at centres specified in the installation manual. Plumb, square, and packed to manufacturer tolerance.

Gap-fill
Fill the perimeter gap per the ETA field of application. DS 30 / 60 / 90 accept specified intumescent mortar or mineral-wool products. DS 120 requires cement mortar or lime-cement mortar only — mineral wool is not approved. No foam. No generic sealants.

Commission and record
Hang leaf, test closing and latching, record DoP reference and installer sign-off for the Golden Thread file.
