DS RC3 — Security + Fire Classifications
Source: ETA-22/0324 (revised May 2024, OiB Vienna, Notified Body 1322) and EN 1627 burglar resistance testing. RC3 is certified on both sides of the doorset.

RC3 resistance (EN 1627) is certified on both faces of the doorset — not only the attack side. Fire classification available as EI1 30 or EI2 60, with Sa/S200 smoke control applied across the range. Security and fire performance are achieved in a single doorset, under one evidence pack.

Gap-fill and frame guidance.
RC3 certification is dependent on correct frame fixing and substrate. A DS RC3 doorset is only burglar-resistant and fire rated when installed within the conditions set out in the ETA and EN 1627 test evidence.
Supported substrates: masonry, concrete, and structural steel — subject to the field of application noted in ETA-22/0324. Intumescent and smoke-control seals are factory-fitted and must not be removed or painted over. Anchor pattern and embedment depth are specified in the installation manual.

Verify the opening
Check structural opening against the dimensions and substrate noted on the order acknowledgement and ETA field of application.

Frame fixing
Fix frame with approved anchors at centres specified in the installation manual. Plumb, square, and packed to manufacturer tolerance.

Gap-fill
Fill the perimeter gap with the specified intumescent mortar or mineral-wool product per the ETA field of application. No foam. No generic sealants.

Commission and record
Hang leaf, test closing and latching, record DoP reference and installer sign-off for the Golden Thread file.
